What are the functions of the College?

The Institute is a professional development body which runs parallels to the ambulance services of Australia. In the dynamic environment of pre-hospital emergency and non-emergency care, the Institute remains at the forefront of information exchange and technology. We continually strive to provide a professional environment for pre-hospital ambulance personnel where they can exchange ideas and develop their careers through exciting and challenging opportunities. Below is a list of some past and current projects:

  • International Medexchange

  • A national forum through the Response Journal
  • Conduction of the Australian Ambulance Expo Conference

How do I join the College?

You must first address the membership criteria. Once these are fulfilled you should then contact the Secretary in your Division. Their details can be found on the 'Committee' page

How to subscribe to the College's national magazine "Response"

The 'Response' magazine is published quarterly. It is sent out to all financial members of the College.

How to contribute articles for inclusion in the "Response" magazine.

The College welcomes and encourages the submission of articles from financial members for inclusion in the Response magazine. Past submissions have included reports from members who have attended foreign ambulance services throughout the world or intra-state. Others have submitted case studies on a myriad of ambulance work. This is not exclusive to pre-hospital care but includes all aspects of pre-hospital management. If you require further information regarding submission of articles to the Response magazine please contact the Editor directly.

How to advertise in the "Response" magazine.

All applications for advertising within the Response magazine are to forwarded to the Editor in the first instance.
