A new report from the China Photovoltaic Industry Association shows PERC solar cells comprising 91.2% of the global market share of solar PV cells used across the world, and predicts that the UNSW-developed technology will continue this market dominance over the next three years:
"With its cost-effectiveness and high production capacity, PERC is likely to remain the mainstream technology in the next three years. Manufacturers will continue their efforts to improve its efficiency and lower its cost."
