UPDATE: New conference venue!


The Australian Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics (ACAP) is pleased to announce details of the 2025 ACAP Conference.


ACAP's world-leading research programs are at the cutting edge of photovoltaic technology development. The ACAP Conference is a unique opportunity to hear first-hand about the breakthroughs, challenges and insights driving the next wave of solar innovation at ACAP. The 2025 Conference will be held on Monday 1st December 2025 at the University of Queensland, St Lucia campus. This is one day prior to the APSRC Conference.


The Conference is free to attend, and all ACAP members, researchers, industry partners, associates, and our ARENA stakeholders are invited. At 1pm, at the conclusion of the program, a light lunch will be served allowing time for networking.

Program highlights


ACAP's six Technical Program Leads will share the challenges, opportunities, approaches and highlights of 2025 in each of our program areas.

  • Silicon Solar Cells – A/Prof. James Bullock

  • Emerging Materials – Dr. Anthony Chesman

  • Tandem Solar Cells – Prof. Klaus Weber

  • Device to Module – Prof. Bram Hoex

  • Manufacturing & Sustainability – Dr. Christopher Fell

  • PV Futures & Knowledge Sharing – Prof. Kylie Catchpole

In addition, the program will feature:

  • An update on ACAP Collaborative Project Rounds and how to get involved

  • Insights from a very special guest speaker (TBA)

  • Opportunities for networking and collaboration over a light lunch at 12:30pm
