JA Solar joins ACAP Industry Consortium

JA Solar, a global leader in the photovoltaic (PV) industry, has joined the Australian Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics (ACAP) Industry Consortium, a collaborative platform under ACAP and led by the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
This collaboration builds on JA Solar’s long-standing partnership with UNSW, including the establishment of a joint laboratory for advanced solar technologies, and reflects our shared commitment to advancing solar PV innovation for a sustainable energy future.

Founded in 2005, JA Solar has grown into one of the most influential entities in global PV research and manufacturing. Its products now serve customers in over 178 countries and regions, with cumulative shipments approaching 300 GW as of the first half of 2025. The company’s robust manufacturing capacity includes more than 100 GW of annual module production, supported by integrated wafer and cell production facilities.
Innovation remains a cornerstone of JA Solar’s growth. Its research and development teams pursue a broad portfolio of PV technologies, ranging from mature TOPCon cells to pilot-scale back contact (BC) and heterojunction (HJT) products, alongside advanced research into tandem and perovskite solar cells.
